Site - Disability Centre, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.

Planning - Eradicate Japanese Knotweed from site.

Problem - Courtyard area of site contaminated with Japanese knotweed, excavation not viable as there is no machinery access to courtyard. One stand of Japanese knotweed was originally present on the site, this was spread around the area during landscaping operations. The courtyard area could not be used by the residents due to the knotweed damaging block paving causing a trip hazard.

IVM Solution - Implement IVM 'FAST' System eradication to courtyard area, allowing eradication to be achieved within one growing season with treatments beginning in Summer 2010 and completing during December 2010.
